Soft as first light and serene as a quiet prayer, Ruchita, our Handloom Vaira Oosi Kanchipuram pure silk saree in the divine Elakkai Pachai (Cardamom Green), feels like dawn gently awakening the earth. Woven on traditional looms with pure mulberry silk and shimmering pure zari, this saree holds within it a harmony of glow and grace. A timeless heirloom drape, Ruchita is crafted for moments when you wish to radiate inner brilliance - subtle, sacred, and effortlessly majestic.

The Enchanting Udal (Saree Body):
The pure-zari "vaira oosi lines" shimmer like threads of early-morning sunlight on fresh green leaves. Adding to the grace, the body is sprinkled with "mayil-chakram buttas" arranged in a half-repeat layout, each butta radiating like a tiny golden halo against the cardamom green canvas. The overall look is luminous, gentle, and elegantly understated.

The Majestic Karai (Saree Borders):
The saree features "Ekam Zari borders (self-colored borders woven seamlessly with the body)", shimmering with pure-zari elegance. The 4-inch borders carry an ornate "Ganda Berunda pettu circled with graceful paisley vines", aligned horizontally with exquisite precision. Beneath flows the "Benaras lines pettu (diagonal lines)", all enclosed within glowing "muthu seer lines", and the top is crowned with a charming "leaf anklet", making the borders irresistibly regal and captivating.

The Resplendent Mundhani / Thalaippu (Saree Pallu):
A cascade of molten gold, the pure-zari pallu unfurls with the splendour of a sacred offering. The design moves in serene rhythms - first, a band of "majestic walking elephants, their forms intertwined with delicate floral vines", symbolising strength carried with grace. Following this unfolds a grand panel of sizeable "Annapakshi motifs, poised between ornate pillars crowned with Pirai Maadam buttas (crescent-shaped diya niches that evoke temple sanctity)". Encircling these divine motifs are elegant "rudraksham butta bands", adding a spiritual quietude to the composition. At the heart of the pallu, the field dazzles with "vaira (diamond) buttas", shimmering like scattered sparks of light on flowing gold. Each section is thoughtfully framed with "kayaru butta lines", creating gentle separations that feel deliberate and meditative. Finally, the entire pallu is embraced by enchanting "leaf anklets", completing a tableau that feels celestial, opulent, and deeply soul-stirring.

The Elegant Blouse:
Paired with a matching Elakkai Pachai (Cardamom Green) silk blouse adorned with fine Vaira Oosi lines and zari borders that echo the saree, completing the ensemble in grace-filled harmony.

COTTON CARE

• It is advisable to only dry-clean our Sarees. Use mild detergent to hand wash Cotton Sarees.

WASH, DRY & IRON PURE SILK THE RIGHT WAY

• For first three washes, dry cleaning is advisable for silk fabrics.
• If ever silk is washed in water, ensure it is washed in soft lukewarm water using a good neutral soap only.
• Squeeze lightly by hand to remove water after washing.
• Always dry the silk in shade only on a flat surface instead of hanging.
• Use low to medium heat while ironing.
• Always iron silk on the reverse side.
• Never spray water to dampen silk before ironing as it may cause water spots on the fabric.
• Do not wash the stains with water, instead give it for dry cleaning.

STORE PURE SILKS THE RIGHT WAY

• Store your Silk in a clean and dry environment using Cotton bags; avoid plastic covers.
• Avoid direct contact with wood.
• Protect silk from insects, dust, excessive moisture and light.
• Periodically (every 3-6 months) expose silks to fresh air and store after reversing the folds.
• Wrap Silk Sarees in cotton cloth or brown paper to avoid blackening of zari.
• Instead of Naphthalene balls, keep silica gel sachets in storage racks.
