If you are drawn to the richness of tradition but prefer something lighter than a full pattu weave, Shanvi is the perfect choice. This handloom Vaira Oosi Kanchi Silk Cotton Saree, woven with pure mulberry silk and fine cotton, is beautifully accented with metallic gold zari. Aaravi, in a glowing red-orange tone, radiates quiet sophistication and timeless grace. It brings you the essence of tradition in a form that feels light, vibrant, and effortlessly elegant.

Saree Body: A striking sight in red-orange, the saree gleams with delicately woven "horizontal Vaira Oosi lines in metallic gold zari". These gentle stripes catch the light with elegance, creating a radiant finish that moves and sparkles with every step.

Saree Border: Adding a regal touch of contrast, the borders on both sides open out in a deep tiger’s eye orange shade, showcasing the classic "Retta Peetu weave". They are adorned with rows of "Rudraksham buttas" in a striking dark green, framed within detailed "chevron patterns". The presence of "Muthu Seer in lustrous gold zari" lends an extra layer of grace. At the gentle flow between the main body and the border, "metallic orange Moplah segments glow with zari lined Muthu Seer" and fine "leaf anklet motifs", enriching the saree’s detailed and dimensional charm.

Saree Pallu: The pallu is a captivating composition in its own right. Crafted with a harmonious blend of metallic gold zari and deep green threads, it strikes a balance between richness and grace. It presents a series of repeating patterns - from "Kuyil Kann motifs" enclosed in gold zari "chevron patterns", to rows of "Rudraksham and Kamalam buttas" arranged in a flowing rhythm. One section comes to life with elegant "elephants and peacocks set in a graceful Kodi Visiri arrangement", followed by delicate "Pavunu Pet motifs" tucked within "golden chevron borders". At its heart, the pallu features finely woven "nested diamond patterns", bordered on either side by refined "Paneer Sombu motifs in pure gold zari", a finishing detail that gives this pallu its distinctive charm.

Saree Blouse: Completing this creation is an unstitched blouse in a matching red-orange shade, finished with borders that reflect the saree’s rich detailing.

COTTON CARE

• It is advisable to only dry-clean our Sarees. Use mild detergent to hand wash Cotton Sarees.

WASH, DRY & IRON PURE SILK THE RIGHT WAY

• For first three washes, dry cleaning is advisable for silk fabrics.
• If ever silk is washed in water, ensure it is washed in soft lukewarm water using a good neutral soap only.
• Squeeze lightly by hand to remove water after washing.
• Always dry the silk in shade only on a flat surface instead of hanging.
• Use low to medium heat while ironing.
• Always iron silk on the reverse side.
• Never spray water to dampen silk before ironing as it may cause water spots on the fabric.
• Do not wash the stains with water, instead give it for dry cleaning.

STORE PURE SILKS THE RIGHT WAY

• Store your Silk in a clean and dry environment using Cotton bags; avoid plastic covers.
• Avoid direct contact with wood.
• Protect silk from insects, dust, excessive moisture and light.
• Periodically (every 3-6 months) expose silks to fresh air and store after reversing the folds.
• Wrap Silk Sarees in cotton cloth or brown paper to avoid blackening of zari.
• Instead of Naphthalene balls, keep silica gel sachets in storage racks.
