Graceful and timeless, Viduala, our handloom threadwork Kanchipuram Pure Silk Saree in a serene shade of dutch white, celebrates the art of quiet elegance. Woven from 4-ply pure mulberry silk, it radiates a soft, natural sheen and a fluid drape that embodies sophistication without excess. Free from zari, Viduala finds its beauty in the purity of silk and the meticulous artistry of its weave - a sublime expression of understated luxury and enduring charm.

Saree Body: The body unfolds like poetry, adorned with finely woven "Mayil (peacock) buttas" and whimsical "Star buttas" in pink-red and green silk threads. Arranged in a delicate half-repeat pattern, these motifs seem to dance across the serene dutch white canvas, creating a spellbinding interplay of color, grace, and tradition.

Saree Border:
Both edges of the saree are graced with enchanting "Ner Korvai 3.5-inch contrast threadwork borders (colloquially called as pattu pett borders)" that captivate at first glance. The design showcases an ornate "Kili (parrot) pettu adorned with paisley-floral vines", paired beautifully with a "Mayil Kannu (diamond-with-dot) pettu" in a rich pink-red shade. These patterns are gently framed within green "chevron strips", further enclosed in rhythmic "kayaru Butta lines". The border culminates with "Arai Podigai triangles", "a fine maroon band", and "a green selvedge", completing a composition of rare aesthetic balance and finesse.

Saree Pallu:
Echoing the border’s artistry, the contrast pink-red pallu beautifully mirrors the recurrent "Kili (pattot motifs) pettu" and "Mayil Kannu (diamond with central dot) pettu". Its divided field shimmers with "diagonal rows of petite paisleys, florals motifs and supplemental motifs", woven in complementary hues that enrich the design’s vibrancy. Grand "Gopuram motifs" frame the pallu, infusing it with auspicious charm and the majestic spirit of Kanchipuram’s weaving legacy.

Saree Blouse:
A plain dutch white blouse with matching threadwork border completes the ensemble, subtle yet elegant, allowing the saree’s timeless craftsmanship to shine through.

COTTON CARE

• It is advisable to only dry-clean our Sarees. Use mild detergent to hand wash Cotton Sarees.

WASH, DRY & IRON PURE SILK THE RIGHT WAY

• For first three washes, dry cleaning is advisable for silk fabrics.
• If ever silk is washed in water, ensure it is washed in soft lukewarm water using a good neutral soap only.
• Squeeze lightly by hand to remove water after washing.
• Always dry the silk in shade only on a flat surface instead of hanging.
• Use low to medium heat while ironing.
• Always iron silk on the reverse side.
• Never spray water to dampen silk before ironing as it may cause water spots on the fabric.
• Do not wash the stains with water, instead give it for dry cleaning.

STORE PURE SILKS THE RIGHT WAY

• Store your Silk in a clean and dry environment using Cotton bags; avoid plastic covers.
• Avoid direct contact with wood.
• Protect silk from insects, dust, excessive moisture and light.
• Periodically (every 3-6 months) expose silks to fresh air and store after reversing the folds.
• Wrap Silk Sarees in cotton cloth or brown paper to avoid blackening of zari.
• Instead of Naphthalene balls, keep silica gel sachets in storage racks.
