Elegant, auspicious, and deeply rooted in tradition, Vaidehi, our Handloom Kanchipuram Pure Silk Saree bathed in a spellbinding shade of purple-red, embodies the timeless artistry of Kanchipuram. Crafted from Pure Mulberry Silk and Pure Zari, each pleat whispers tales of grace and devotion, while every fold shimmers with an ethereal radiance. Perfect for festive occasions, guest weddings, and timeless celebrations, this exquisite drape is destined to be a cherished heirloom saree in your wardrobe.

The Enchanting Udal (Saree Body):
The lustrous body is adorned with radiant gold zari “Vaira Thodar Buttas (delicate diamond motifs placed one after another)" that resemble stylized stars, glowing in half-repeat patterns across the expanse. Each geometric sparkle dances with light, evoking a celestial allure that makes the saree shimmer like a night sky studded with jewels.

The Majestic Karai (Saree Borders):
Gracefully framing the body, the 2.5-inch Self Zari Borders (“Ekam Zari Pettu”), woven seamlessly without a korvai join, feature alternating motifs of "Mayil (peacock) and Chakram (wheel medallion)", artfully separated by "Vaira Kambi (vertical diamond pillars)" and delicately encased in a "Muthu Seeru (a fine line of pearl-like zari beading)" that elevates the saree’s refinement. The upper edge is crowned with "Arai Podigi temple spires", while the base rests on a dignified "rifle-green selvedge", infusing depth and contrast into the luminous border.

The Resplendent Mundhani / Thalaippu (Saree Pallu):
A mesmerizing molten gold zari pallu radiates sheer grandeur and exquisite craftsmanship. Its intricate layout unfolds in medium bands adorned with "Annapakshi motifs enclosed within circular medallions", interspersed with supplementary designs and bordered by strips woven with "twin paisley motifs" and "Rudraksham buttas", all gracefully divided by "chevron pillars". The central field of the pallu features "diagonally aligned clusters of rectangular motifs embellished with banaras lines, kuyil kann and rudraksham buttas", shimmering with divine opulence. The entire composition culminates in enchanting "Paisley–Thazhampoo Rekku Salangai" patterns that lend rhythmic movement and grace. Two slender sets of zari lines mark the beginning of the pallu, subtly heightening its allure with understated sophistication.

The Elegant Blouse:
The saree comes paired with a plain blue-green blouse, enriched with a pure zari border matching the saree - a harmonious complement that completes this masterpiece of tradition and timeless elegance.

COTTON CARE

• It is advisable to only dry-clean our Sarees. Use mild detergent to hand wash Cotton Sarees.

WASH, DRY & IRON PURE SILK THE RIGHT WAY

• For first three washes, dry cleaning is advisable for silk fabrics.
• If ever silk is washed in water, ensure it is washed in soft lukewarm water using a good neutral soap only.
• Squeeze lightly by hand to remove water after washing.
• Always dry the silk in shade only on a flat surface instead of hanging.
• Use low to medium heat while ironing.
• Always iron silk on the reverse side.
• Never spray water to dampen silk before ironing as it may cause water spots on the fabric.
• Do not wash the stains with water, instead give it for dry cleaning.

STORE PURE SILKS THE RIGHT WAY

• Store your Silk in a clean and dry environment using Cotton bags; avoid plastic covers.
• Avoid direct contact with wood.
• Protect silk from insects, dust, excessive moisture and light.
• Periodically (every 3-6 months) expose silks to fresh air and store after reversing the folds.
• Wrap Silk Sarees in cotton cloth or brown paper to avoid blackening of zari.
• Instead of Naphthalene balls, keep silica gel sachets in storage racks.
