Sardha – Sand Dune Handloom Kanchi Silk Cotton Saree with Small Border
Soft as sand, radiant as gold, Embrace effortless elegance with Sardha, our handloom Kanchi silk-cotton saree in a soft sand dune color. Crafted with pure silk and premium cotton, its lightweight texture and subtle sheen bring a refined charm, making it the ideal choice for celebrations where elegance speaks for itself.
Saree Body: Adorned with metallic gold zari "Kamalam buttas" delicately placed across its sand dune canvas, the saree body catches the light with a soft, twinkling shimmer, adding understated opulence to its elegant drape.
Saree Border: The saree showcases delicate pinkish-red borders embellished with metallic gold zari "Kamalam motifs, gracefully framed within Muthu Seer lines". Just above the border, "Beetu Buttas (small, repeating motifs woven in a precise row)" form a decorative transition between the main body and the border. These motifs feature the "mythical Ashva Yazhi (a horse-headed, lion-bodied figure) entwined with a paisley-floral vine" in gold zari. This thoughtful composition adds subtle charm, visual intrigue, and a refined sense of luxury to the border.
Saree Pallu: The metallic gold zari pallu is divided into three distinct sections. The top and bottom feature recurring bands of regal "peacocks and stately elephants", alternating gracefully and separated by "chevron pillars", creating a rhythmic visual harmony. The central section showcases intricately woven "nested Gothic frames", forming a layered architectural motif. At the base of each Gothic frame, "twin elephants face each other symmetrically, trunks raised and front legs lifted in a dynamic pose, while a majestic peacock perches above, completing the tableau". The sequence is further enriched with repeating "Kamalam motifs", adding ornamental continuity along the band. All sections are bordered with "Kamalam buttas and Muthu seer lines, with delicate Seepu Reku patterns dividing the bands". The entire design is elegantly flanked by "leaf anklets", lending a final touch of refinement.
Saree Blouse: The saree comes with a soft sand dune color blouse, simple yet refined, featuring a contrast border that mirrors the saree’s design, completing the ensemble with subtle sophistication.

COTTON CARE
• It is advisable to only dry-clean our Sarees. Use mild detergent to hand wash Cotton Sarees.
WASH, DRY & IRON PURE SILK THE RIGHT WAY
• For first three washes, dry cleaning is advisable for silk fabrics.
• If ever silk is washed in water, ensure it is washed in soft lukewarm water using a good neutral soap only.
• Squeeze lightly by hand to remove water after washing.
• Always dry the silk in shade only on a flat surface instead of hanging.
• Use low to medium heat while ironing.
• Always iron silk on the reverse side.
• Never spray water to dampen silk before ironing as it may cause water spots on the fabric.
• Do not wash the stains with water, instead give it for dry cleaning.
STORE PURE SILKS THE RIGHT WAY
• Store your Silk in a clean and dry environment using Cotton bags; avoid plastic covers.
• Avoid direct contact with wood.
• Protect silk from insects, dust, excessive moisture and light.
• Periodically (every 3-6 months) expose silks to fresh air and store after reversing the folds.
• Wrap Silk Sarees in cotton cloth or brown paper to avoid blackening of zari.
• Instead of Naphthalene balls, keep silica gel sachets in storage racks.
