Graceful and rare, Shuki, our handloom Kanchipuram pure silk saree in a mesmerising cosmos-chocolate hue, is a treasure of elegance. Woven from pure mulberry silk and pure zari, this masterpiece carries the warmth of earth, the glow of tradition, and the charm of a timeless heirloom. it is poetry in silk, a story of birds, beauty, and timeless Kanchipuram craft.

The Enchanting Udal (Saree Body):
Adorned with beautifully rendered "kili (parrot) motifs" placed in alternates and woven in pure zari, the saree body feels divine and spirited - an ode to Shuki, the graceful female parrot of poetry and devotion.

The Majestic Karai (Saree Borders):
Along both edges runs a magnificent "10-inch Kattam woven (checked) border", where artistry deepens into a rich, staggered play of motifs. A "structural kattam weave unfolds as alternating columns": one where empty squares reveal the luxurious, unbroken silk ground, and another where "pure-zari chakram motifs" appear, each leaving its paired box untouched for contrast. These are followed by columns carrying resplendent "peacock motifs", again arranged in the same half-repeat cadence. This subtle choreography of empty spaces, shimmering chakrams, and majestic peacocks creates a border that feels architectural yet ornate, rhythmic yet beautifully restrained.

The Resplendent Mundhani / Thalaippu (Saree Pallu):
The pallu continues this grace in a more divine language. Recurring pure-zari bands shimmer softly, each band woven with alternating "elephants and winged horses", reminiscent of celestial steeds. These motifs are framed by rows of "rudraksham and edged with fine thandavalam lines", guiding the eye toward a divided field where two horizontal rows of grand "Kalakshetra Kili motifs (Andal Kili)" unfold in a delicate half-repeat pattern. The pallu concludes with a refined line of "paisley anklets", giving the entire composition a finishing touch of temple-heritage splendour.

The Elegant Blouse:
This ensemble is paired with a plain cosmos-chocolate blouse, finished with a "pure zari kattam (checks) border", offering you the perfect canvas to customise your look - be it understated elegance or ornate styling.

COTTON CARE

• It is advisable to only dry-clean our Sarees. Use mild detergent to hand wash Cotton Sarees.

WASH, DRY & IRON PURE SILK THE RIGHT WAY

• For first three washes, dry cleaning is advisable for silk fabrics.
• If ever silk is washed in water, ensure it is washed in soft lukewarm water using a good neutral soap only.
• Squeeze lightly by hand to remove water after washing.
• Always dry the silk in shade only on a flat surface instead of hanging.
• Use low to medium heat while ironing.
• Always iron silk on the reverse side.
• Never spray water to dampen silk before ironing as it may cause water spots on the fabric.
• Do not wash the stains with water, instead give it for dry cleaning.

STORE PURE SILKS THE RIGHT WAY

• Store your Silk in a clean and dry environment using Cotton bags; avoid plastic covers.
• Avoid direct contact with wood.
• Protect silk from insects, dust, excessive moisture and light.
• Periodically (every 3-6 months) expose silks to fresh air and store after reversing the folds.
• Wrap Silk Sarees in cotton cloth or brown paper to avoid blackening of zari.
• Instead of Naphthalene balls, keep silica gel sachets in storage racks.
