In a gorgeous palette exuding charms of timelessness, Vanalekha, our resplendent handloom Vanasingaram Kanchipuram Pure Silk Saree in mango yellow, celebrates the poetry of the wilderness in woven form. This exquisite creation, inspired by the regal Banarasi Shikargah artistry, showcases an intricate Vanasingaram pattern brought to life through masterful jacquard weaving. Handcrafted from pure mulberry silk, Vanalekha stands as a radiant testament to tradition and elegance - a saree that transcends fashion to embody art itself.

The Enchanting Udal (Saree Body):
Adorned with a melange of flora and fauna, the saree narrates a fable of nature’s grandeur - where "creepers entwine with ornate paisleys (manga)" and majestic creatures like "peacocks (mayil), deers (maan), horses (kuthirai), elephants (yanai), and lions (simham)" roam freely in artistic harmony. The interplay of navy-blue motifs against a mango-yellow backdrop conjures a vivid vision of a thriving forest, infusing vitality and warmth into every thread, beautifully framed by a delicate zari border along the yellow-pink selvedge.

The Resplendent Mundhani / Thalaippu (Saree Pallu):
The contrast pallu in pansy purple gleams with pure zari woven in molten gold, radiating a luminous charm. It features a series of recurrent bands - one adorned with "winged horses (pegasus)" and "diamond motifs" alternated and divided by "chevron pillars", and another showcasing "peacock and elephant motifs", also framed by "chevron dividers". The divided field of the pallu sparkles with intricate "Mayil Kanni motifs (diamond patterns with a central dot)", lending a radiant symmetry. Each ornate band is edged with "chevron strips enclosed within Banaras lines", elegantly defining and elevating every section. Finally, the entire composition is bordered with delicate "floral bud anklets", completing the pallu with a captivating touch of finesse and timeless allure.

The Elegant Blouse:
Paired with a plain pure silk blouse in pansy purple, accentuated by slender zari lines along the edges, it gracefully lets the saree’s intricate artistry remain the focal point.

COTTON CARE

• It is advisable to only dry-clean our Sarees. Use mild detergent to hand wash Cotton Sarees.

WASH, DRY & IRON PURE SILK THE RIGHT WAY

• For first three washes, dry cleaning is advisable for silk fabrics.
• If ever silk is washed in water, ensure it is washed in soft lukewarm water using a good neutral soap only.
• Squeeze lightly by hand to remove water after washing.
• Always dry the silk in shade only on a flat surface instead of hanging.
• Use low to medium heat while ironing.
• Always iron silk on the reverse side.
• Never spray water to dampen silk before ironing as it may cause water spots on the fabric.
• Do not wash the stains with water, instead give it for dry cleaning.

STORE PURE SILKS THE RIGHT WAY

• Store your Silk in a clean and dry environment using Cotton bags; avoid plastic covers.
• Avoid direct contact with wood.
• Protect silk from insects, dust, excessive moisture and light.
• Periodically (every 3-6 months) expose silks to fresh air and store after reversing the folds.
• Wrap Silk Sarees in cotton cloth or brown paper to avoid blackening of zari.
• Instead of Naphthalene balls, keep silica gel sachets in storage racks.
