Arunika - Handloom Dual Shade Kanchi Silk Cotton Saree with Zari Pallu
A harmonious blend of tradition and elegance, Arunika is our handloom Dual Shade Kanchi silk cotton saree that beautifully marries vibrant color with vintage charm. Woven in a radiant dual shade of red birch hue (a rich, medium-dark shade of red-orange), this exquisite drape is crafted from the finest pure mulberry silk and premium cotton, offering a feather-light feel with an effortlessly graceful fall. Adorned with luxurious metallic gold zari, Arunika is the perfect choice for festive occasions, cherished celebrations, and creating timeless memories.
Saree Body: The body of the saree unfolds like a celestial tapestry, adorned with shimmering zari lines in graceful horizontal symmetry. "Undulating wavy motifs" dance alongside intricate "chevrons and diamond patterns", each woven in radiant gold, glowing brilliantly against the red-orange base. This harmonious interplay of light, texture, and design creates a mesmerizing rhythm - a moving poetry of weave.
Saree Borders: Framed with 3-inch contrast borders in a dark red, the saree is elevated with mythical artistry. "Twin Gajayazhi motifs (guardians of tradition)" dance alongside half-circle festoons, all held within enclosed "coin butta bands". These are bordered yet again by fine "kayaru butta lines", and flanked above with "Paneer Sombu motifs", adding an anklet-like charm. The dark red selvedge completes the border with an ethereal finish.
Saree Pallu: The soul of Arunika reveals itself most vividly in the pallu - a mesmerizing testament to the timeless artistry of Kanchipuram. Woven entirely in lustrous metallic gold zari, the pallu unfolds in regal segments, each narrating its own story. One segment showcases graceful “floral-leaf vines” bordered by “kayaru butta lines” and framed with delicate “Thuthiripoo motifs” nestled within “Veldhari lines.”
Another segment comes alive with a royal procession of intricate “Annapakshi motifs,” elegantly enclosed within ornate "pointed cinquefoil (scalloped) arches". These are interspersed with “diamond motifs,” “kamalam butta,” and “chevrons,” all set within "oriental arch pillars". The entire display rests within rich “Rudraksham” and “kayaru butta” borders. A “diagonal weave (benaras lines)” adds depth and motion to the field, enhanced with "temple tower motifs". Framing the pallu are bold “Gajayazhi bands” that echo the grandeur of the borders - powerful, majestic, and irresistibly magnetic.
Saree Blouse: Paired with an unstitched silk cotton blouse in a rich red birch hue, this piece is finished with gleaming metallic gold zari borders that mirror the saree’s majestic edges.

COTTON CARE
• It is advisable to only dry-clean our Sarees. Use mild detergent to hand wash Cotton Sarees.
WASH, DRY & IRON PURE SILK THE RIGHT WAY
• For first three washes, dry cleaning is advisable for silk fabrics.
• If ever silk is washed in water, ensure it is washed in soft lukewarm water using a good neutral soap only.
• Squeeze lightly by hand to remove water after washing.
• Always dry the silk in shade only on a flat surface instead of hanging.
• Use low to medium heat while ironing.
• Always iron silk on the reverse side.
• Never spray water to dampen silk before ironing as it may cause water spots on the fabric.
• Do not wash the stains with water, instead give it for dry cleaning.
STORE PURE SILKS THE RIGHT WAY
• Store your Silk in a clean and dry environment using Cotton bags; avoid plastic covers.
• Avoid direct contact with wood.
• Protect silk from insects, dust, excessive moisture and light.
• Periodically (every 3-6 months) expose silks to fresh air and store after reversing the folds.
• Wrap Silk Sarees in cotton cloth or brown paper to avoid blackening of zari.
• Instead of Naphthalene balls, keep silica gel sachets in storage racks.
